Our Website, Our Future
The future of Davenport Junior Theatre hinges around our ability to make the transition into the 21st century. We know that our services are vital to the strengthening of our children and community. But without a website, we have been lacking the proper tools to entice a new generation into our program.
Davenport Junior Theatre is no small organization. We have 59-years worth of alumni that are spread across this nation. In fact, our alumni are spread across the world.
At Davenport Junior Theatre, we offer 40 weeks of classroom programming (four 10-week sessions), a Mainstage Acting Company that produces five shows a year, three Performing Arts Camps (one-week each), a Summer Repertory Company that travels into the parks (Show-Wagon), special workshop series, and much, much more.
The website before you is in its infancy. We are currently representing only the most immediate information, as it is all that we can afford on such a project at this time. In the future, the website will offer the chance for alumni to reconnect with the organization, a history section that will be written for each decade by various alums, a virtual tour, a sights and sounds section that will capture our past, present, and future, a history on Mary Fluhrer Nighswander (our founder), and easy-access for the community of all the most current information. That is only the start. We are also developing a Podcast Series of interviews featuring students, teachers and programmers from all decades.
In order for us to complete the website Davenport Junior Theatre deserves, we need your help. Please consider donating to Davenport Junior Theatre to complete this, and other vital projects. Junior Theatre Incorporated is the non-profit board that supports this program. All donations are tax-exempt. To donate, click here. And in advance, thank you.
